Lowland
Traditionally the Lowland malts of Scotland have always been regarded as light and delicate in flavour. It is very rare to see peated products from this area of Scotland.
Currently, there are only seven Scotch whisky distilleries operating in the Lowlands such as Glenkinchie, Auchentoshan and there are a handful of new producers planned for the near future.
